2010 Spring Bible Conference
The Blackduck Evangelical Free Church would like to extend an invitation to the community to attend our 10th annual Spring Bible Conference, March 12-14. Dr. Ron Carlson of Christian Ministires International will be speaking on “Authentic Faith in a World of Counterfeits.”
The conference begins on Friday night at 7 pm with Dr. Carlson’s presentation entitled “The Bible: How Do We Know It Is God’s Word?” The Saturday sessions will consider the topic of the origins of life, with a message at 5 pm entitled “Question of Origins: Evolution vs. Creation”. After a free meal, the evening will conclude with the 7 pm session “Fossils, Dinosaurs and the Age of the Earth.” The conference will wrap up on Sunday morning with “Secular Humanism and New Age Spirituality” during the 9:15 am Sunday School hour and “Health, Wealth and Prosperity Gospel: Is It Biblical?” during the morning worship service at 10:30 am.
Dr. Ron Carlson is the President of Christian Ministries International. He is recognized worldwide as one of the foremost authorities and lecturers on cults, world religions and the issue of human origins. Ron has spoken in 79 countries. He is a graduate of Bethel University and Seminary, with additional studies at Jerusalem University College, the University of California and Cal State Hayward. All sessions are free and open to the public. Following the Sunday Worship Service a “Spuds and Splits” meal will be served. Proceeds from the free-will offering for the meal will be used for the church’s building fund.
