Happy Friday church family!

I am incredibly grateful for everyone who came to help this week with our backyard blowdown from last Thursday’s storms. It is amazing how in a few short hours and with a lot of helping hands, a large task can be dealt with. I am sure there will be a few sore backs, shoulders, and arms from running chainsaws, splitters, and chucking an unending supply of split logs down an assembly line to the quickly growing rows of firewood. From the bottom of our hearts – thank you.

I’m also grateful that it’s the season of the harvest. Borrowing a splitter from my parents – I did not just bring a splitter home – but peas, zucchini and cucumbers. Food just seems to taste better from your own garden (or from your Mom and Dad’s!). I’m sure many of you are also beginning to enjoy the fruits of your labors. It makes me think of how sweet the heavenly harvest will be – especially when saved souls will be those seeds we personally planted, or watered, or weeded. Let us continue to work sowing, tending, and reaping in the Kingdom’s gardens as well!
