Happy Thursday church family!
We had a wonderful Mission focus Sunday this past weekend and were blessed to have five of our supported missionaries in attendance. We will have the pleasure this weekend to have another missionary team we support here in town with us – the Gibbons. They will speak about all of their activities and future plans during our Sunday School hour, and Michael will be sharing a message with us during the service at 10:00.
While it is true that every one of us is meant to serve as a missionary in our own walk of life – our own circle of influence, there is a special honor due to those who leave everything behind for the sake of furthering the gospel – as our full-time missionaries do. I am reminded of Paul’s description of pouring out his life as a drink offering for the sake of his mission field. It is a high calling with eternal rewards for a race well run. My prayer for each one of us at the Free Church is that we would run our individual races with the same fervor and focus in our own local mission fields.
Please join us and the Gibbons this Sunday!

Paul wrote to the church in Philippi - “Hold fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.” Philippians 2:16-18 ESV
